The other beer I got to try at Cervejaria Barley. This is a winter seasonal, and although the name may lead to the thinking of amber ale, it is actually made with bottom fermenting yeast. From a 960 ml bottle, on to the beer:
As hoped, the color is amber, a rich amber I might add, with good long lasting creamy head and polka dot lacing. The nose features fruity esters, and maybe a touch of tasted grain. Not a very intense flavor, fruity esters hitch along for the ride with a tiny bit of dark bread. The creamy feel this beer has help get this beer moving along.
Acceptable to drink, but lacing the punch and complexity I hoped for.
