Brown 0.5 litre bottle, best before 8th July 2010, drank 23rd Frb 2010. The second beer from this brewery to be reviewed this evening (of three). Poured into a vase shaped pint glass.
Very pale yellow, misty rather than murky or cloudy, thin looking actually. On top sat an uneven crust of foam, white in colour. Next time I have one I'll pour it into a stone mug (stein) I think!
Yeast esters came up from the beer, mixed with hints of hops and the promise of mixed spices (cloves, corriander and nutmeg).
The taste was refreshing and wheatish in flavour, the aforementioned spices did appear, but only lightly and in the background.
Enjoyed the beer, wish I'd bought more while staying close to the brewery last December.

A very hazy and pale yellow, full of little particles, moderate carbonation, plenty of lace and a white head make up the appearance.
Smells incredibly yeasty (slightly musty) and fruity, almost like a Belgian farmhouse ale. Malt is a main factor as well and is obviously wheat-based, almost like a witbier. Very subtle hop character.
The taste has a solid malty core and is more hoppy and herbal than the nose, a bit more sour or wheat-like too. A clean but yeasty finish and a bitter after-taste.
A medium to thin body after the first pour, a smooth and full mouthfeel after the second, with subtle carbonation and a refreshing character all over.

Hazy light yellow, white head, two fingers, creamy, compact.
Very yeasty nose, still fresh, with malt notes. Almost chewy yeast.
Fresh taste too, again yeast, with a bit of tart. And a light orange note.
Yeasty aftertaste, again orange, a hint of dustiness, and also a hint of hop.
Very fresh, pleasant, with a good drinkability.
