The Brewers describe this as a Celtic Ale ,being something between Irish and Scottish Ales in character.
Such refinement is beyond me however
This was tried in Port Fairy , which lays claim to this being its beer.
It is a lovely deep amber in colour and has an off white head.
The flavours are biscuity to caramel but with a distinct edge , that lessens the threat of sticky sweetness.
It was probably served too cold ( not unusual) but was still pleasant
Worth atry when in Port Fairy.
