16oz pint glass at Hops.
L - brown color with a off-white head that stayed as a layer right to the finish.
S - sweet caramel with notes of cocoa.
T - sweet and malty with some chocolate and coffee flavors poking through.
F - medium bodied, it's smoth and creamy.
O - pretty much just an average porter.

On tap at Hops in Charlotte, served in a pint glass
The beer pours a deep brown with ruby highlights and nearly two fingers worth of off tight tan head that slowly recedes into an impressive amount of lacing.
The nose consists mainly of chocolate/cocoa, caramel, some very lightly roasted malts, and subtle notes of coffee. There is a slight hop spiciness as well
The taste is very similar to the nose. Moderate amounts of chocolate/cocoa, caramel and roasty malts. Less coffee in the flavor than in the nose. The hops are more noticable in the nose than in the flavor. Medium/light bodied and lightly carbonated. Finishes slightly dry and is very drinkable
Overall, this is a decent beer, but nothing that will knock your socks off

Sampled at the Matthews, NC location. Dark color with a relatively thick head, with some pretty good retention for lacing. Pretty good taste with some chocolate and coffee. A bit rich, thick and bitter. Not my favorite sytle but a pretty well-rounded Porter.

The appearance was one of the best things about this beer. There was a nice head that lasted throughout the drinking and their was minimal lacing.
The smell was not much to boast about. Very little in the way of hops of malt, just a beer smell.
The taste, as often happens, reflected the smell; not much.
A nice mouthfeel. Very smooth with a bit of a sticky feeling.
An average beer overall. I have definitely had better porters, but I would have this one again.
