It is light in color for a Scottish Ale, but it supposed to be a summer ale. The color is a faint copper. The aroma is sweet and nutty. It has a cookie like maltiness and some nice nutty and toasted malt flavors. There is not too much bitterness, but just enough to keep it from being cloying. A smooth drinking session beer.

Copper in color with virtually no head. Maltiness dominates the aroma, not much else in there. The taste is a caramel like maltiness. I rather enjoyed the beer's simplicity. This would be a good everyday drinking beer if it were available in bottles.
