Pours a honey color with over a finger of head. The nose is slightly earthy and grainy. The flavor follows the nose with a semi-dry finish. The body is light even for an APA.

9/4/17...pours medium bright golden copper with scant white foam. Floral and grassy nose, simple and outdoorsy. Bright juicy flavor, wet, grains, grasses, and a tucked bitter close. Some pine in the close. Good beer for a good cause.

This was another beer from my winnings when the 'Hawks beat Philly for the cup in 2010.....he finally paid up. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had some overprimed hints. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. Overall it's a solid beer.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a golden/orange color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of malts, some hops are present. Taste is toasted malts, a bit minty, light bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer, but nothing special.

On draft, in a shaker pint glass

Clear, golden in color, white head. Mild earthy hop aroma. Crackery mild malt flavor, mild bitterness. Easy drinking but not that flavorful.

Golden orange in color with perfect clarity. Poured with short, soapy, bright, white foam with medium low retention. Medium light malt and caramel malt aromas with light spicy hop aromas. Medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Medium malt and spicy hop aromas with medium light hop bitterness. Finished semi dryly with light spiciness. A malt forward pale ale that was light on the hop aromas and body. A pretty simple malty APA. Nevertheless, easy drinking and refreshing. A good, sessionable spring/summer brew.

Sly Fox Brewing Co. "SRT Ale"
12 fl. oz. can, "BEST BY: 9/19/16" and sampled on 8/06/16
$2 @ Wegmans, Collegeville,

Appearance: Deep golden, almost amber body beneath a frothy head of off-white that settles to become creamy.

Aroma: Grainy malt with some grassy and leafy hops.

Flavor: Grainy, gently caramelish and biscuity malt offset by equally bold grassy, leafy, and perhaps mildly citrusy & piney hops. Some mild yeasty fruitiness lies beneath the stronger hop and malt components. Solidly bitter with a flint-like dryness in the finish. It's surprisingly bold given its 4.6% ABV, and I'll believe it, but the listed 40 IBUs seems a touch low compared to what I'm sensing.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light/Light-medium in body with a crisp carbonation that lends a little bite.

Overall: A straight-forward American pale ale that surprisingly doesn't go anywhere; I can understand not wanting to take it over the top or try anything new as it should be accessible to everyone (proceeds benefit the Schuylkill River Trail), but even within a very reigned in view of what an American pale ale can or should be, it's very basic.

Earthy, citrus. Brown sugar, its pretty hoppy
Same as smell. Sweet malts, hoppy bite
Smooth. Hop bite, very clean

A nice clean, hoppy beer. Nothing crazy here.

A very drinkable pale ale for the summer. Crisp, not heavy, just right for relaxing after a ride on the trail or simply hanging on the beach.
