Best by 9/21/16. Received at the 2016 CBC.
Appearance: Almost the entire top of the can is made to come off so I'm drinking this one out of the can. Cool idea and apparently illegal to sell that kind of can in some states. Swirling produces a thin layer of white suds.
Aroma: Sweet malt with a little spice from the rye.
Taste: Nice rye presence with a bit of astringency on the back end. Almost a metallic aftertaste. Bitterness is noticeable but not overdone. The overall flavor is a bit one-dimensional. Not sure what the ABV is but it doesn't taste as high as 7%.
Mouthfeel: Between thin and medium in body with vibrant carbonation. Good drinkability apart from the metallic flavor.
Final Thoughts: Not memorable apart from the interesting can. Still, can't really knock free beer. Would I drink it again? Meh, Sly Fox has some other solid offerings.

My can had about zero carbonation, straw color. Taste was a lightly spiced lager. Heavy on the malt. Almost too sweet/malty. Aroma was subtle, but grainy and a little rye. Interesting style to try.

Golden, clear body and a small white head. The aroma is mild malt and the flavor is much of the same with a bit of dry grainy character. Drinkable, but not much more than that.
