Clear, medium amber with a reddish tint, poured with a short head. Good retention, some lacing. Pleasant hop aroma (grassy, light citrus, some spiciness) with just a hint of malt. Solid caramel malt flavour provides balance for the hops character - grassy, citrusy, and spicy. Bitterness grows into the finish. Very nice. Medium body and carbonation, nice texture with some dryness. A highly drinkable IPA and a great way to finish off the 2006 IPA project.

Served too cold in a standard pint glass...good thing I have patience to warm it up a bit. A half finger of off white head and some decent lacing.
Decent whiffs of floral hops and sweet caramel malt...no alcohol detected.
The taste is very enjoyable...not the West Coast hop bomb and not quite an English style IPA...somewhere in between IMO. A bit more hops and not as bitter, but a hefty dose of malt to balance out the hops and the aftertaste is very clean w/ no lingering flavors.
Mouthfeel medium bodied and the carbonation was perfect.
A solid IPA from an impressive brewery...recommend trying this one.

Appears a transparent hazy amber with a small off-white head that slowly fades. Spotty & streaky lacing to be seen.
Smell is faintly of earthy & wood toned hops with perhaps just a touch of pine and citrus in the background and perhaps a touch of soapiness. Very English IPA IMO.
Taste is good. Same faint aromas kicked up slightly a notch with a gentle spiciness. Very bitter without a whole lot of interference from a maltiness.
Mouthfeel is ok. Slight bit of woodiness and bitterness linger. Well carbonated and medium bodied.
