Our brewers crammed as much hype into this very special Pottstown-style IPA as the tanks could hold. A healthy dose of flaked oats gives the beer its namesake sparkle, while a double dry-hopping of El Dorado, Simcoe, and Citra ratchets this juicy hype bomb up to 11.

Too bad for people trying this beer that don't know much about Sly fox. This is a departure for them as they seem to be trying to keep up with others doing this type of beer.
This was an impulse buy as I agree you just need to make good beer and not mess with label designs.
Poured from a 16oz can into a pilsner glass.
Decent head when poured that dissipated quickly. Little bit of cap on beer.
Color is orangey-brown and opaque.
Aroma is the best part- sweet, fruity, and a bit sour.
Taste is citrusy, fruity with hints of pineapple.
Mouthfeel is tangy and hoppy, but does feel a little slimy overall.
Overall, this is not their best offering and hopefully they will move on from making this and any variation of this type of beer unless they can simplify things.
Doh!

This is absolute swill. I don't even know how to describe, as it's not an IPA, not anything really. Except pure swill. Over bubble gummy lactose ..... Sweet and creamy. There's very little chance anyone on a blind taste test would mistake this for beer. Based on the cheap and poor packaging (no top protectors so the can tops are filthy) and the childish bubble gum poppy artwork, these millenial hipsters need to stick to their dayjobs and leave the brewing to those who give a crap and know what they're doing. This is honestly the worst beer I have ever had, and that's saying a lot. Stick to the breweries and beers you know and love, and leave all these upstarts at the curb. It's shameful, and I feel a little grosser by drinking almost a full one

$ 3.00 (Including tax)/16 oz can ($ 0.188/oz) from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA. Reviewed 6/17/19.
“BEST BY 09/20/19” on bottom of can. In reefer at point of sale. Stored upside down at 42 degrees and served at 45 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Appearance – 4.
First pour – Light yellow, clear.
Body – Yellow-gold, hazy.
Head – Large (Maximum 6.4 cm, aggressive center pour), off-white, low density and looks soft and pillowy, average retention, diminishing to an irregular lacy three to ten mm crown and a thin partial cap. Lots of torn curtain lacing remains as the head retracts.
Lacing – Fair. As the volume drops, the lacing begun above, continues.
Aroma – 3 – Begins with a burst of tropical fruitiness which quickly fades to nothing.
Flavor – 3.5 - Begins slightly bitter with a little citrus and some blurred tropical fruitiness. Bitterness becomes the predominating characteristic. No alcohol taste or aroma (6.5 % ABV), no diacetyl, no dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 3.5 – Medium, watery, lively carbonation.
Impression and interpretation – 3.5 – Decent IPA but nothing exceptional.

Golden yellow in color with very good clarity. Poured (despite the removable can top) with a tall, soapy, white foam with good retention. Orange rind, light fruit, earthy herbal, and light citrus aromas with medium malt. Medium bodied with medium light carbonation, and light warmth near the end. Earthy herbal, light citrus and malty flavors with medium hop bitterness that tapers from beginning to end. Finished with pleasant warmth, malty notes and a light lingering bitterness. Great look with lightly creamy feel. On the maltier side, as are most Sly Fox pale ales. Hop character is subtle and mellow. Tasty and very easy drinking.

On tap at Unter Biergarten in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a slightly hazy orange, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This smells like essentially nothing- it's really boring. There's soapy hops, some lemon lime, but not much going on here.

This intrigued me, but it honestly shouldn't have, as I should have rightly assumed that Sly Fox wasn't going to make a good NE-style IPA, as lagers and lighter beers are more their forte for sure. The taste is so bland and watery, there's barely anything going on here.

This is light bodied and crisp, with a soft level of carbonation. It's drinkable, I guess.

This was highly disappointing. I wouldn't bother.
