Deep reddish copper and fairly clear, fine dark beige bubbles formed a short cap that showed good head retention. Some spotty/streaky lacing. The aroma was full of floral and fruity hops, with sweet malt, caramel and toasted grains filling in the background. Perhaps the barest hint of roast as well. The flavour was all sweet malt and caramel up front, which carried through to the end. Fruity, citrusy hops hit at the mid-point, leading to a grassy and bitter finish with just a bit of alcohol as well. Again, there seemed to be just a hint of roasted grain. It became fruitier as it warmed too. Medium bodied with lowish carbonation and mild warmth. It was a bit sticky, but had a fairly smooth texture. Pretty nice. Not overly complex and a fairly easy drink for its size. Definitely worth trying when it's available.
