On-tap at the Gingerman in NYC:
Pours copper with a thick, frothy white head that thins and stays leaving some frothy lacing on the glass.
The smell is herbal, citric, grainy, slight caramel. Pretty mild, but pleasant.
This is a sweet IPA despite a pretty weak maltiness. But, hops even weaker, with just a touch of bitterness peeking through in the finish. Slightly caramelish, slightly fruity. Alcohol comes through, and is fairly astringent.
Medium-bodied.
Too sweet for style, and too astringent needs more flavor, maltiness and hoppiness. A pretty weak showing for the style.
