It was. Aren't they all? So, two pint cans were spilled into a clear glass liter mug. The IPA is an orange-amber color with a modest but tight and enduring white head. The label doesn't say Hazy or New England, but it is as cloudy as many of those. There's some nice glass lacing trailing the condensing head. There's just a bit of an aroma that doesn't seem as hoppy as an IPA. It seems a little fluffier to the palate than the standard AIPA. The hops seem mildly subdued, too. The malt is mild and not overly sweet nor earthy. A guess is there is some wheat/oats in the mix. A very drinkable ale, but with everything muted, also a very unremarkable one. There is a decent body and some hops at the finish, so it is more of a thumbs up, overall.

16 oz can, dated best by 5/27/21
appears a hazy dark golden color with orangeish hue. thick white ehad. Nice aroma and initial hit of citrus juice flavor, with enough underlying bitterness. Fairly smooth feel, could be a little softer for the style

Poured from the pounder can into a nonic pint glass.
A: Poured a nice 4mm white head and golded glowing hazy body. Head dies to 1mm collar by the time you get down in the glass half way.not much carbo visible with the haze. I dinged it slightly on this due to lack of head retention.
S: Tropical, hint of lemongrass, lemon, pineapple and tangerine. Malt is light biscuity.
T: Pineapple, mild orangey bitterness, juicy, some hint of crushed baby aspirin. Malt is light, like carapils and a something like a hint of honey malt maybe. Could use more Galaxy type hops to bump it up a bit.
M: Slick and smooth, like drinking velvet. Mild carbo on tongue, nothing too fizzy or bitter/astringent on out-breath.
O: Might be one of their best attempts at a NEIPA that's not classified as a NEIPA. I have to say, it's what I want most NEIPAs to be like when they disappoint me with their green (heart-) hop-burn and underdeveloped malt backbones. A bit pricey where I bought it, $17 4-16oz'rs. Not sure if it's just this store, but they tend to charge a premium (aka the "Mountain Tax" as I refer to it) due to proximity to multiple ski resorts.

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is gold, hazy but not dense, head is off white with fine bubbles, head presents 1 finger thick and then dissipates to a solid top with lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is light tropicals, pineapple, tangerine, maybe some lemon rind, hint of biscuity malt.
Taste is similar - pineapple forward, then citrus, tangerine, lemon rind, some earth and cattiness with warmth, lighter malt notes with biscuit and oatmeal type flavors.
Mouthfeel is low/moderation carbonation, moderate bitterness, lingering bitterness on the tongue, light drying.
Overall a somewhat typically flavored hazy ipa for this region - tropical/pineapple forward with light citrus and moderate bitterness.
