Soft pillowy wheat and oats swirl while lush, fruity hops twirl throughout this hazy thing of beauty.

I tried this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight whilst in Pittsburgh for work. It poured a slightly hazy golden with thin white ring head that is leaving some lace. The scent had bold citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet malt base with supper citrusy presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

It was an interesting IPA - not overly bitter, had some juiciness to it, and was very visually appealing. Not much made it distinctive from other IPAs, but it was still a falvorful.

Kind of shocked to see such low scores on this. I was downright blown away by the cirtus and orange hops on this one perfectly blended with rolled oat to deliver a smooth yet tasty experience. The fact that its around 5% makes it even better to session. Probably one of the better beers I had as of late

Can pour into a pint glass.
Hazy yellow color with a fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Orange, apricot, floral notes. Moderate body, crisp fizzy mouthfeel.

Sly Fox Brewing Co. "Haze Fix IPA"
12 fl. oz. can coded "BEST BY:08/31/22 #9789 09:04" and sampled on 05/25/22
$21.19/12-pk @ Javies Beverage, Philadelphia, PA

Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a cloudy golden body beneath a short head of bright white foam. There's not a whole lot to the aroma which is dissapointing; it's hazy but it's not hoppy. There's some fruitiness to it but it's mild, and I can smell the wheaty and oaty malt. On to the taste... well, it's dissapointing again. I get the malt, same as in the aroma, but the hops are limited. I'm finding some apple, some background citrus that's mainly orange, grapefruit, and lemon, and a touch of pine. A moderate to median bitterness balances it and it finishes dry, spicy, earthy, and resinous. In the mouth it's medium-light in body and gently crisp. There's no rule that I know of that says a hazy IPA has to have a hoppy aroma and flavor but regardless, this seems like a watered down version of what could have been a good beer. I guess to keep the cost down they kept the hops down but what you end up with is pretty worthless. One final thought, this beer is only 5.5% ABV (Budweiser is 5.0%) and it's not that bitter so without more than just a 'fair amount' of hops I can hardly see labeling it as an IPA - this is a hazy pale ale.

The current trend of hazing IPAs is apparently to overload the wort with wheat and/or oats. That certainly makes for cloudy concoctions, but not good beers. There is something very unappealing about an over-starched white head looming too largely over a brew. This is as guilty as any for that offense. Two twelve ounce cans' contents barely fit inside a clear glass liter mug. The ugly starchy head must have reached four inches in thickness, despite a modest pour rate. As nearly always, given time, the head recedes unevenly, unattractively and with irregular lacing inside the glass. This is totally guilty of every complaint listed above. Like many hazies, the smell is muted. There's maybe some grain and maybe some hops here, with a little yeast and a little alcohol. In short, prior to tasting this cloudy orange-amber ale, there's nothing to provide high expectations. This drinks so bodiless, it's hard to imagine there's any barley malt within it at all. Make no mistake, this is just not worth the time, nor calories consumed. Totally devoid of body and malt counterbalance, this doesn't even bring a particularly decent hop presence, neither. There's really no reason to try this other than to try this and that really shouldn't ever happen, nor happen again.

below average hazy, give it a try but i think many, many more better hazies out there. Lasking the juiciness that makes this style so popular. Where is the flavor in this one?

Appearance: Cloudy yellow body, large white head, spotty lacing.
Aroma: Dank, herbal, citrus in the background.
Taste: Grainy malts. Crisp. Citrus moves in gradually. Herbal aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Well carbonated. Medium bodied. Modest bitterness.
Overall: Missed the 'best by' date by 2 weeks. Not sure if that was a factor.
