Snagged a growler of this during an 02JUN22 visit to the brewery.... consumed the next eve at the WWII Weekend in Reading PA....
Was a medium-golden color, with a slight bit of haze. Had vigorous carbo within and a thin, white head. The suds topping ebbed rapidly, with decent lace on the glass. Nose was lightly malty, with crackery, toasty notes. Had some very light Rauch action going on. It had a medium to medium-plus body, and was quite smooth going down.
Taste had more toasty malts, with some subtle green fruit notes (pear, green apple). Finish was dry, with noticeable smoky notes, plus a touch of florality. Solid stuff! Prosit!!
