JB Coffee Porter

This poured out as a transparent brown color that to me look like a brown ale more than a Porter. There was a fast fading head on top of the beer to start off. There was no retention or lacing on this beer. The smell of the beer is actually quite nice... basically the only nice thing about this beer in my opinion. The smell of coffee is dominant. The malts and hops are hidden. The taste of the beer starts off with nice big coffee flavors then dies off almost immediately after swallowing. Tastes as though it's watered down. The moouthfeel is thin, light bodied and not very carbonated. Overall it's a beer that could have potential but needs some work I think.
