a light and breezy pale ale that hits right for peak summer, minimal on the malt side as pale ales go, not too bitter either, fresh and real drinkable, nice with greasy pub food, something i would seek out again when in the area, and maybe the best of the beers ive had from these guys so far, but they are doing a nice job overall i reckon. blonde to maybe just honey colored, lighter looking than a lot of these, frothy near inch of white head from the tap too and mostly clear, looks simple and good. the nose and taste are almost identical, fresh slightly juicy hops in both that starts with meyer lemon and mandarin and moves to a bit more of a woodsy note, but is nowhere near ipa level, and the bitterness is mild at best, really delicate, not unfamiliar but the timings and dosages here are nice, this is easy but still flavorful, the hops add a lot while not turning it into something just for the hopheads, nice work there. there is just enough grain flavor this this, but its nice and mellow, and i think the drinkability and refinement here are excellent. familiar but also with plenty of personality overall, airy big bubble carbonation moves it nicely and i could rifle through a few pints of this awfully happily. had a blast checking out their brewery too, great spot!
