decent little mexican lager, a total pounder on a warm summer day, cold and refreshing even if its imperfect and below the best of these on the quality side, it hit just right for me near the middle of a long work day. real light blonde in color, not much head from the tap but its not flat to drink, just maybe a little less spirited than i prefer from the style when its at its best, stays light though, soft florals in the nose, definite mexican lager yeast loving some modest early malt sweetness, hints of lime i think even without lime added to the beer, but they do serve it with a wedge which could be interfering, but i reckon there is citrus here anyway. not sure i get a lot of corn in nose or taste, more light pale barley malt, a hint of a slightly crackery pils type too, and some minerality coming through. it doesnt taste or feel real crisp, and i dont mean its sweet late, just that the lagering seems less complete, it doesnt really have that snap, even if its easy down anyway. it doesnt warm up super well either so high speed consumption is the go here, but i think they have a pleasant mass appeal summer beer with this one that doesnt need to be overly analyzed, it serves its purpose just fine and i like the little extra from the yeast, intentional or not. more bubbles would be welcome, but overall this is thirst quenching as it is. not among my favorites ive had from these guys, but it gets the job done.
