i think these guys have done a nice job with clean easy beers with a lot of flavor, and also with marrying hop varietals together, even somewhat unconventionally, as this citra and cascade ipa demonstrates, soft and floral and oily and zesty from the citra, more beastly, bitter, and vegetal from the cascade but tamer than its usual spiciness and not hot green despite the herbal thing, it doesnt burn, well played with these two, nice interplay between them, and a fresh and flavorful drink, if a little rough around the edges, easy to ignore with the flavor and freshness. not super clear but nobody would rightly call this a hazy, a richer golden color with low shine and a frothy and lathery but not super tall white head, some lace in its wake. nose and taste of fresh earthy hops, somewhat unexpected, preserved lemon, green tea, fruity cannabis, and hints of green grape, apple, pear, vanilla, and white airhead candy, albeit all quite subtle. good malt here too, off dry, middle of the road on body, light i guess overall for where the style has gone, clean on the swallow, simple really in its build, but it comes together well, the yeast is subtle but not invisble and adds a little something, and overall i think this is full of promise. i like it being as bright as it is, its bubbly and has some pull, and i think the quality is on its way. great to find some local flavor in these parts, great space and vibes in here, solid beers so far from what ive had. definitely worthy of a visit!
