Straw colored and cloudy. Decent head, light lace.

The smell is similar to a brewery floor with a seemingly stale malt base.

The wheat dominates in a pleasantly sweet way. Highly carbonated but with neutral body. Light clove but no banana overtones.

On draught at the brewery's brew house. A half liter pour served in a Pilsener glass. It pours an almost opaque, golden tangerine color with a half finger of fluffy, long-lasting bright white head and a thick coating of creamy lacing. It's a pretty pour. For the most part the smell is what I'd expect from a Hefe: lemon, banana, coriander, and yeast. But there's also notes of peat and smoke. The taste features wheat cracker, lemon, banana, yeast, and a nice touch of pepper at the finish. it's dry and refreshing with lively carbonation, and with a modest ABV of 5.1% it's easy to drink a half liter. Overall, this is a solid, well-crafted, and thoroughly enjoyable Hefeweizen.
