On-tap at Lucky 32, Greensboro, NC
A: The beer is very close to being jet black in color—only traces of dark red are visible near the corners of the glass when it is held up to a bright light. It poured with a short beige colored head that died down, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of coffee beans are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having stronger flavors of coffee beans and finishes with notes of alcohol.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer starts off nice, but the taste is a little too boozy. It could use some more malty flavors to balance things out and provide more body.

The beer pours a nice and lightly chocolate brown foamy head that dissipates quickly but leaves a nice and small bubbly head around the inside of the glass. The look itself is pretty nice with dark coffee black accentuated by a slight chocolate browness. The texture is also a bit thin and more closely resembles coffee instead of an imperial stout.
The smell is pretty good. It has a very strong and bitter coffee note with a sweet dark chocolate underneath the bitterness. The chocolate is clearly overwhelmed by the coffee notes.
The taste is pretty much the same as the smell only that the chocolate isn't as noticeable.
The feel is good. It's a heavy bodied beer with a creamy feel but has the thinness from the coffee when talking about its texture. The carbonation gives it a nice bite and some texture.
Overall, this is a pretty good imperial coffee stout and worth getting. It isn't as phenomenal as other ones but still good enough to sip and enjoy like it's an actual cup of coffee.

Had on tap at DBBC. A rich coffee forward imperial stout. Poured with a very good dark as night appearance and a rich creamy head. Decadent feel and smooth throughout. Taste was very well balanced with non-bitter dark roast coffee and hints of chocolate. Didn't show the booze despite the 10.5% abv. Excellent sipper. Excellent example of the style. Get one while you still can.
