Pours opaque, dark brown in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is sweet chocolate, cola, smoke, light coffee roast, vanilla, and sugar. Clean, sweet, and medium bodied. While I like other milk stouts more, this is tasty.

Poured into tulip glass. It pours nearly ink black with two fingers of foamy mocha-colored head and extensive and elegant lacing. The smell is muted - roasted malt and a little burnt coffee. The taste features burnt coffee grounds, nuts, and roasted malt. For a "milk stout," I'm note tasting much lactose. There is some bitterness at the finish. As expected, the body is light with moderate carbonation. The ABV of 5.4% is barely noticeable. Overall, the best aspect of this stout is its appearance. It doesn't compare well with, say, Left Hand Milk Stout.

12oz bottle poured into a DB snifter

A- pours a jet black color with a small foamy khaki colored head that reduces to a ring around the edge of the glass.

S- roasted malt, char, chocolate, sugary lactose, touch of coffee & vanilla

T- roasty and chocolaty up front, giving way to flavors of charred malt, chocolate, coffee, lactose, vanilla cream, molasses and caramel. The finish is sweet and roasty

M- medium body and carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp finish

O- a tasty milk stout that packs plenty of flavor and has a nice roasted/sweet balance

Overall, a good milk stout. Not as sweet, sticky, or cloying as some can be, but more tangy that most.

Look: Dark and hazy. A medium brown heady that's creamy with decent retention.
Smell: Sweet. Some molasses, hint of marshmallow, lots of dark caramel and creamed coffee.
Taste: Charred, dark malts and burned sugar up front, raisin-like dried fruits. A charred, acidic tang that finished like dark bitter chocolate.
Feel: Thick and full, creamy, but also a little sparkly at first.

Dark, dark brown with a caramel head, as befitting the style. Head is small, but fairly durable. Nose malty and toasty, pleasant and a bit expansive, nothing out of place. Taste: caramel and toast, roasted grain, a little raisiny perhaps. Seems to have a longer and more prominent sour aspect that blends nicely with the dark malts expected of a stout. Sweetness present but not overstated. Mouthfeel reasonably dry, does not approach the extra creaminess often found in oatmeal stouts. Clean finish with lingering stout bitterness that is never excessive. In general, this stout's flavors should seem familiar to those who have tried a lot of stouts, but it does perhaps have a slightly individualistic taste. A winner, and like some of their other "Adventure Pack" productions, a beer I would enjoy seeing in full-time production.

Bottle on 2/29/2016, and I drank it on 13 May 2016. Poured from the bottle into a nonic glass.
