Regional release.

England knows beer. And they should, they’ve had it for a real long time. So we wanted to partner up with the UK for our American IPA. It’s brewed like a traditional English ale but with a delicious twist: a mix of UK and US hops. What you get is a medium-bodied, smooth round mouthfeel with moderate bitterness and a deep golden hue. Making it taste somewhat familiar but also a bit unique for our mates across the pond.

Malts: Pale Ale and Wheat Malt
Hops: Admiral, Goldings, Cascade, Centennial and Columbus
Additions: Orange, Marmalade, Biscuit
IBU: 48
COLOR: Deep Gold

April 2015: Keg half pint, served ice cold, at Wetherspoons Victoria Station, London. Golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate hoppy aroma. Lagerish mouthfeel. Hoppy flavour, grapefruity and piney notes.

Brewed by Marston's in the UK. £2.10/500ml bottle BB: 31/10/20
L- Dark amber, clear, pours with 2mm fine white head.
S- It has a restrained zestiness to it, fresh and vibrant, but not youthfully gyrating too close to your receptors.
T- Quite dry, as you might expect from an IPA: Thankfully not a 'LOOK-at-me!' hipster hop-bomb.
M- Dry, refreshing, I'd suggest this more trad British IPA than new-fangled US iteration. It has subtle fruit notes, but the overall palate is adult and better for it.
O- It's good, quite trad and amenable for an IPA these days. This beer was - very unexpectedly - bought in rural Norfolk, UK, from Co-op Mulbarton.
