L: Opaque straw with bits of sediment, frothy off-white head
S: Citrus (Orange, grapefruit, lemon), cracked wheat, and hints of pepper
T: Follows nose, with mint and other fresh earthy/herbal notes. Moderately bitter but not too heavy on the hops for an IPA and a solid malt profile.
F; medium-light body; moderate carbonation; frothy and smooth.
Solid, well-balanced, unique.

Notes via stream of consciousness: So what do we have here? It's an Indoa pale ale with wheat at 6.5% ABV but that's all the label gives you. It's poured a hazy golden body beneath a thumb's width of white foam. In the nose I'm finding orange, melon, berry, and distant lemon/lime over a sweetish malt base. Interesting. On to the taste... well this is an oddity and I'm not even sure where to begin. I guess I'll pedal back through the notes found in the aroma.... check, everything is there, and probably in pretty much the same order. There's a lot more though. I'm getting peach, cedar and coconut, pineapple... three dots means I'm thinking... maybe some grapefruit... and a little bit of mint in the finish. It's very weird but OK somehow, I guess because nothing is too far out there. So what is the hop that i'm thinking of? I think it's Sabro, or maybe Zappa. Nope, it's Sabro (I Googled it). I'm not saying that that's all that's in there but beermaverick.com notes "It also has a unique blend of tangerine, coconut, tropical and stone fruit flavors underscored by hints of cedar and mint." Personally I think that the cedar and mint are a little bit more than an "underscore" but maybe that's just me. I will say that it's less prominent than in some other beers that I've had with Sabro. It's a weird hop, and sometimes I love it, and sometimes I hate it. In this case I'm going to go with 'love it'. Now, back to the malt. I'm 100% sure that there's more in here than just barley and wheat. It might be 2-row but I think the base is Pilsner, and I'm tasting oats. I could be wrong, but I get more oats than wheat. The bitterness is on the lower side and yet it still finishes mainly dry. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp and then smooth as it should be with a fair amount of extra proteins in it. In fact, if I wiggle my glass back and forth I can see tiny particulate in suspension moving with me. I guess the final note would be that the head has held up really well. I've only got a finger's width of beer left at the bottom of my glass and there's still a solid and creamy surface covering on it. The lacing wasn't quite THAT good but it's still pretty good. I'm going to score it a 4.25 but it almost hit 4.5; close but no cigar. I'm going to recommend this beer based on it's balance, and its uniqueness, but it's also highly drinkable even at 6.5% ABV.
