Hate to go so low given the tie in, but this beer starts out well on the pour - a medium hazed beer with a nice head. The nose has hints of what is to come, but also a nicely tangy citrus peel note that is a mix of mostly white grapefruit and some lemon. There's also a little grass int he aroma.

Then the taste and feel - not a bad opening, but the funk of citrus peel is invaded by an ongoing candied orange and floral notes that doesn't work very well for me. The taste reminds me of El Dorado hops, which might or might not be involved and is initially conflicting and then overpower for my palate. Combined with the thinner and more carbonated feel than expected, I get a orange soda vibe in the second half of the taste that I can't shake quickly enough.

Overall, just a mix of flavors that totally do not work together with my palate.
