Had this last night at the Brewery, I think it's a new seasonal beer. This is a Scottish Ale thats infused/aged/brewed with aged local cocoa beans, madagascar vanilla beans, and then a secret ingredient.
A: Nice dark brown color with pretty crimson highlights. A small ring of head leaves minimal lacing.
S: Amazing smell with the cocoa jumping out of the glass at you with roasted malt and toast. The vanilla beans also shine through nicely. More chocolate bar and coffee roast in the aroma as well.
T: Follows the smell with lots of fresh Cocoa beans seemingly joined with more with the coffee flavors in the taste than I would have expected in the smell, perhaps this is the 3rd ingredient...The vanilla does make an appearance in more of a subtle role. Great malt base and maybe a flutter of hop esters at the back.
M: A little thinner than I usually like in any beer, but at 4.1% it's still smooth and nice over the palate.
Overall a very nice beer, I may try to get a growler of this before I leave.
