Pours a bright clear gold with a one finger bright white head that fades quickly into a thin cap with moderate lacing.
Aroma of bready yeast with hints of spice.
Taste of bread, rye and a slight herbal hop bitter ending.
Light body with low carbonation, refreshing with a dry finish and a slight bitter after taste.
Overall a nice refreshing lighter beer, very nice.

A Roggen Pils according to the bottle label.Poured into a 1/2 liter stein a clear light to medium golden with a one finger white crown that lasted for quite awhile.Toasted bread and a light smattering of sharp rye and leafy hops in the nose, the toasted notes stand out most.a nice feel to the beer,it's fuller than what I expected.Flavors of toasted malts with a tinge honey and sharp rye that lingers in the finish,a nice shot of leafy hops in the finish.A damn fine lager with a rye twist,I could drink alot of these on a hot day.

Alehousedave provided this rarity at an impromptu Tuesday night tasting... Thanks buddy!! Cool chatting about things.
The brew is polished golden.. good white head with nice spotty lacing...
The nose is very balanced between lite pale/hints of caramal malts and equally lite citrus hoppiness.
The flavor mirrors the aromas but a distinct rye component jumps out... so does something that I associate with "corn"... not DMS... but corn... weird, but tasty.
Body is light with a good bubble.
Super glad I go the chance to try this one.... Thanks Dave!!

Very decent lager, with some rye edge. Not very edgy, its a bit soda pop. Still some mild rye aroma. Medium mouthfeel, and some lasting head. Very good drinkability and refreshing. Suitability carbonated. Thanks for bringing back an extra bottle, Stephen.
