22oz bomber from the Lebanon Co-op grocery. Served cold in a chilled pint glass.
A: Heavy pour gives 1/2 inch of fizzy eggshell head that settles quickly to a single fizzy layer, then after a minute to practically nothing. Clear golden yellow brew shows tons of carbonation racing upward and clinging, submerged, to the glass.
On the second glass, head sticks around a while longer and starts to leave some lace.
S: Dry acidic sourness with some mixed floral and fruity aromas. Like spoiled fruit, but not necessarily in a bad way. White grape juice, maybe a hint of cinnamon spice, earthy.
T: Very light, just a hint of lemon rind, maybe some grass, a touch of biscuit. Aftertaste of styrene/ stale cinnamon, it makes my teeth feel gritty. Very mild, the most prominent thing is the offensive finish.
On the second glass, some hops, banana, and buttery notes appear. A bit of lactose milkiness. How interesting, a significant metamorphosis upon warming just a few degrees.
M/D: Light, dry, crisp, abundant carbonation. Drinks easily enough, but not tasty enough to make me want it again.
The second glass of this was quite a bit better than the first. Still not extraordinary, but worth the wait. Unfortunately the nasty styrene is still prominent. My advice is to let this warm up a bit before digging in. Didn't do much for the S/M/D, but did significantly improve A and T (uh, heh eh eh heh... T and A).

pours a hazy amber-copper with a one fingered head that settles to a small cap and laces decently.
smells faintly of biscuity malts and earthy hops. very cereal-like on the nose.
taste is a bit buttery with more biscuit and cereal grains. earthy english-style hops appear momentarily, but stay in the background.
light to medium bodied with a watery, yet creamy feel reminiscent of skim milk, but with a little carbonation. not bad.
nothing comes out to assert itself in this brew, but it remains a safe, easy drinking bitter. Not my favorite style, and not my favorite example in the style, but not bad. especially for the price.

This is a pretty mediocre craft brew and my second stinker from this brewery. It pours a slightly hazy pale golden color with no head, lacing, or retention. The nose is floral but has a perfume like aroma right out of the bottle that segues into a lemony whiff that is a bit better after it settles. the beer is plenty carbonated.
The taste is bitter, fairly watery, some thickness in the mid section. The bittering hops are not balanced against any malt so the hops just linger and linger. There is a bit of an acerbic lemony flavor, but it isn't particularly refreshing or palate cleansing. The beer improves a bit as it settles and it becomes tamer, but the bittering hops are not that interesting, overwhelm everything else going on with this beer, and the aftertaste is just too much for a beer that doesn't have that many qualities to recommend it. I'm giving this brewery one more chance and then no more.

In a pint glass the beer was an amber color with a small white head that nevertheless left some lacing. It had a floral aroma, as well as some caramel. Caramel malt taste, pine. This beer was pretty hoppy, maybe a little too bitter. Still, it was an enjoyable beer.

Pours a slightly cloudy deep golden color with a stingy white head that dissipates quickly to a ring on the edge of the glass.
Smell is lightly fruity with an earthy hop edge. Some sweet malts in there slightly bready, maybe biscuit. Taste is fairly well balanced with the sweetness of the malts fighting to overpower the spicy earthy hop bitterness. Medium to high level of carbonation, sweet sticky mouthfeel, medium body.
I've had this beer several times and at first I really didn't care for it, but it really seems to be growing on me as of late. There's certainly nothing here that will knock your socks off, but we've got a decent local session beer at a reasonable price.

Pours an amber color with what looks to be ample carbonation. For some reason, no head forms, probably due to the way I poured it.
Aroma is faint and hard to detect. Somewhat sweet with only a slight hint of hops.
Taste is full of buttery malt with a slight amount of grassy hops. Sweet. Chewy. Not IPA bitter but the hops are there.
Mouthfeel is full of lingering malt and grassy hops. Leaves much to be desired as the carbonation seems excessive.
Not bad but I've had much better examples of the style. I suppose I could try pouring another bottle and see if a head forms. Regardless, it's not horrible but you could find something better for the style.

Pours a one finger white head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving no lace. Hazy amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Light malt and hop nose. Flavor is balanced, some caramel some hops. Not a bad bitter. The brewer puts the ABV at 5.4%. $3.99 for a 22oz bottle from Smiley's Beverage Dover, NH.

From the 22 fl. oz. bottle with no batch number or bottling/expiration date. Sampled on Jan 1, 2010. This is BA rating #300 for me so I thought I would do a local brew to commemorate that. It pours a slightly cloudy amber tone with a thin but continuous off-white head. The aroma has a bit of cereal, malts, and a vague note of hops. This comes with a full body and creamy sensation. The taste balances its hoppy bitterness and caramel sweetness quite well. This is another decent brew from my hometown brewery.

Not totally sure of the style the brewer was going for. This is somewhere in the bitter to ESB range.
A- Pours a slightly cloudy/chill hazed golden color with a two finger frothy head.
S- Pleasant, a biscuity sweetness, crystal malts, a bit fruity.
T- Biscuity, toasty maltiness upfront. Fades to a grassy, earthy tea like hoppiness. Mild fruity esters.
M- Light to medium bodied, lightly carbonated but still a slightly creamy feel to it.
D- Excellent! Nothing here to wow you, just a smooth, very well balanced English style ale. A very sessionable brew, worth a try...
