Best by April 3rd..oops.

It pours a very dark brown with hues of red. Good head of tannish foam, very good lacing.

It smells of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, cinnamon, maybe peppery.

Milk and dark chocolate tastes, kinda nutty, light cinnamon, lactose.

Light body and smooth tasting. Good but rather simple.

APPEARANCE: Deep, dark brown (almost black). The head is almost completely white, creating a nice contrast, and made up of a jumble of large, small, and medium bubbles. It disappears quite quickly. Lacing, however, is strong.

SMELL: Cinnamon is not the strongest aroma here, but it's what stands out. The coffee notes are a little more intense, but the cinnamon is what makes it unique. A little dark chocolate lingers in the background too.

TASTE: This is not what I expected, but it's pretty delicious nonetheless. Big, dark chocolate flavors provide a base for a strong dose of cinnamon and nuttiness.

MOUTHFEEL: Lighter in body than expected (at least based on the name) , but about right for the ABV. Dark, but easy drinking. Carbonation matches the color, but not the body, as it's pretty low. It starts dry, but finishes with a nice chocolaty sweetness.

OVERALL: The name really made me expect something richer and that took me a minute to get over, but once I realized that it's not supposed to be a big, rich, overpowering, pastry stout and that it was supposed to be delicious and drinkable I was pretty satisfied. The 19.2oz can is shareable, but also pretty easy to get through solo. In fact, I could knock back a few of these and really enjoy that spicy, sweet chocolate. At $6 a can this is worth the purchase if it's still out there anywhere.

Deep, dark mahogany body, nearly black; foamy, creamy head. Smoky, roasted grain aroma. Primarily sweet chocolate flavor overall with a slight hint of bitterness; mild esters. Heavy, slightly flat mouthfeel; mostly sweet finish.

A respectable sweet stout. There is nothing truly outstanding about this beer, but with a low ABV and and tempered chocolate sweetness dominating the taste, it most certainly has its strong points.

19.2 oz can, best by 4/3/18. Pours brown with a small light tan head that quickly goes to a thin film that leaves little lacing.

The aroma is sweet grainy roast chocolate with cinnamon, perfume and some nuttiness.

The flavor is sweet nutty chocolate malt with some cinnamon and an odd nutty chemical finish. The mouthfeel is rather light bodied and watery.

Overall, it sounded much better than it was.

Nice cinnamon flavor with roast malt and chocolate. It is cask drawn so it was light carbonation with med body. Tasty.
