Oops. Best before June 30th. First time I've seen it. Shrugs.
Being well past the bb date didn't hurt the appearance. Dark reddish brown, healthy head of off white foam, some lacing.
Hmmm..coffee roast along with a good roasted malt aroma appears to be of good standing. That and bitter chocolate; So far, so good, eh?
Taste is pretty close to the smell except that there's some oxidation going on. Like in some astringency. Oh well, the bubble has burst. Not Upslope's fault.
Good mouthfeel.
I wish that I had found it earlier ie fresher but my review/score will not show any disdain for the brewer.

Dark brown body sporting a one-finger thick creamy, light tan head. Rich, roasted coffee and charred grain aroma. Rich dark grain malt flavor with a healthy presence of dark coffee; mocha; vanilla; big coffee ground-like bitterness at the finish. Very lush, velvety mouthfeel; semi-sweet finish.
A very fine brown ale, nicely amplified with a well-balanced coffee addition. It brings some outstanding depth and balance to the senses. Highly recommended.
