On draught at Frontier Brewing and Taproom.

Pours black with a nice head of tan foam. Lacing is not lacking.

Smells of dark chocolate, roasted malt, with a wild cherry zing.

Taste is even gooder. Chocolate is semi bitter, roasted malt brings a good dryness that I expect from a Foreign style, and the cherries have an adequate slight tartness presence.

Light mouthfeel but that's okay to me.

Very enjoyable.

Dark brown body with a soapy, sticky light tan head; flecks and strings of foam clinging to the inside of the glass. Deep charred grain aroma; barest hint of cherry. Rich cocoa and chocolate base flavor with a very subtle hint of cherry presence; delicately sweet; good bitterness counterpoint. Heavy body; smooth and silky; seems a bit light in the mouthfeel for the style; evenly balanced between light sweetness and dryness on the palate.

This is a fine tasting stout but really doesn't have much of a cherry presence like its name might imply.
