Clear, bright gold colored body; minimal carbonation seen rising yet the head is one-finger thick, dense and creamy; thick rings of foam curtain the glass interior. Tropical fruit and floral hop notes; mangoes and papaya; trace of biscuit lurking underneath. Excellent flavors combining light toasted grains, fruity esters, and a zippy hop bitterness; lemon bread; rye. Heavy body; crisp with a gentle coarseness on the tongue; warm; some alcohol heat; mostly dry mouthfeel overall.
This DIPA is very delightful, well-balanced and offering some fine malt and hop complexities. It does a fine job of tempering the presence of the relatively high ABV. The can lists the following ingredients:
- Snowmelt
- Malt
- Citra Hops
- Azacca Hops
- Idaho 7 Hops
- Yeast
The can also has a best-buy date of JUN 19 19
