Well, excellent and dark English BW. Bourbon adds notes, age mellows it. A hint of rye, would like more. Very sippable and dangerously high abv I would say.

Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice translucent dark brown color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice quick/fizzy one-finger light tan head, which leaves a nice medium size island, and some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, hoppy, yeasty, with a very nice dark fruit complex (cherries, figs, raisins, plums, dates, peach), nice touch of vanilla, oak, rye whiskey, amaretto. The taste is very nice, malty, hoppy, yeasty, with a very nice dark fruit complex (cherries, figs, raisins, plums, dates, peach), very nice touch of vanilla, rye whiskey, amaretto, nice oakyness. . Full Body, ABV hidden very nicely, a very nice complex brew, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very nice big beer, a sipper for sure, very tasty. Glad to see it around here this year.
