Our 2022 Barrel Aged Imperial Stout was aged for ten months in freshly dumped Willett Bournon barrels. Notes of creamy vanilla , bittersweet chocolate, and roasted sugar cane are delivered by a massive, silky body that makes this beer the perfect winter sipper. This offering can be aged indefinitely, as the beer will continue to mellow and evolve over time.

Bought at Liquor Shed in Casper. Canned January 28th 2022.

Holy cow. 18.1%abv.

It pours black, has a small tannish head of foam. Doesn't last long but there is some lacing.

Smells of caramel malt, chocolate, roasted malt, chocolate
Vanilla, but the smell is dominated by a sweet sensation.

Roasted, sweet malt, Bourbon in a big way, vanilla, tastes like it has been aged for a while. More than the 3 months that I have on this can. 19.2 ounces. The malt had to built up to get it to this high of an abv.

Full bodied, carbonation is just right.

Man, this is potent. Sipping all all the way.

Dark and opaque body; thin head that quickly dissipates to a thin, khaki colored ring and patchy bits of foam floating on top of the beer. Roasted dark malt aroma infused with licorice and chocolate; slight boozy note. Rich flavors; bitter chocolate and bold bourbon tones; earthy sweetness; moderate bitterness. Heavy body; mildly coarse; lots of alcohol heat.

A nicely intense barrel aged imperial stout, dripping with sweet malt goodness and badass bourbon.

Pouring temperature: 46 °F; canning data: CANNED ON 1/28/22
