Our Wild Christmas Ale was aged on Brazilian amburana wood for an exotic spin on a classic beer. Notes of gingerbread and vanilla from the wood meld with the deep, stone fruit tartness of the base beer to evoke the flavors of some of our favorite holiday treats.

16oz can, adhesive label. Label has this information, 'CANNED ON 10/21/22'.
Amber colored body. Thin cap of off-white colored head. Leaves behind short lacing strings.
Aroma is sour, with smells of gingerbread and exotic woodiness.
Flavor is tart. Flavors of cranberry-type fruit and ginger. Any sweetness comes from vanilla. Aftertaste is short lived.
Medium mouthfeel. Dry finish. No bitterness. Good carbonation.
The exotic wood adds an extra layer to the general profile, along with ginger, tart fruit, and sweet bread.

Pint can, poured well chilled into a ‘can glass’. Amber color with a small bit of tan foam that left quickly.
Smells festive., spicy, gingerbread and cranberry sauce. I get no note of vanilla.
Taste is Christmas-y. The wood treatment elevates this effort. Adds an air of exotica to what could have been ‘just another’. The wild yeast adds funk to my stocking. Tart, not sour. Zero bite of alcohol.
Feel is quite little and fizzy, but appropriate for the style.
Overall, sip it or drink it - it’s OK!

Canned October 21st 2022. It's right on the label.
It pours a clear amber with a smallish head of foam, just a little lacing.
Smells really tart, woody, some ginger spice, complexity further with some obvious dark fruits.
The taste after I get past the tartness, is dark fruits, woody from the oak and the Amburana(Brazilian, wow) definite notes of ginger but I don't really get any vanilla, as the label mentions.
Good mouthfeel.
Pretty unique tasting Wild Ale. I favour it.
