On-tap after coming out of the Boundary Waters Wilderness, the first trip for our two girls, & stopped for lunch. Food was good if not remarkable, beer was good, great for the region. Not much for tap beer I've seen in Ely!
Came out a clear, filtered IPA, red-orange, right outta the Compton manual. Hit the right notes in the nose too, resinous hops, strong malt.
Picto Craft runs right up a well-tread trail of a solid IPA. Nice dose of hops, with a vaguely pear-like undercurrent, big malt spine, clean. Not much else. Didn't need to be, though. Easy to drink, I could have had two, but driving another 260 miles argued against that madness.
Good beer that didn't stray one step into the brush. Impressed with the clean lines of these beers, wonder if it has to do with good brewing, good water, or both. Either way, I'll stop again next time I'm in the neighborhood.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
