A: Not quite black with some light shining into the body without too much difficulty. The head a very pale shade of brown as brown goes. Lacing and retention are moderate.
S: Smoky, malty, roasty; what I'm looking for if not a little light. A kiss of leafy hops.
T: As advertised, notes of toffee, coffee, and bittersweet cocoa are all present along with a smoky flavor that seems to come from roasted barley rather than added smoke flavor or smoked peat. It all balances well, not a huge beast but the most flavorful of BT's brews. Just a light touch of leafy hops to add further balance.
M: Good body for a porter, don't make the mistake of thinking it's a stout. Still, solid medium body is appropriate (traditional, at this point) with even carb, crispness, and smoothness.

One of the few Blue Tractor beers that I would say is "good". Pours dark with small head. Aroma of coffee and heavily roasted malts. Flavor is nice and robust, with only hints of coffee and mostly roastiness. Relatively easy to drink, and went very well with my burger. Not a lot of hop bite at the end, but I tend to like the coffee and roast flavors more. Pretty solid beer.
