Served at Bube's Bottleworks.

A: The beer is a hazy, orange juice-colored amalgum with a thick white head. There is a lemon wedge on the mouth, but I never got around to removing it.

S: The aroma, beyond the immediate lemon scent, is a light wheat aroma with some sweetness but no bubblegum notes.

T: This is definitely a wheat beer, it has the signature restrained, grainy taste that is accentuated by the unfiltered nature, making this come across almost like a pulpy orange juice. As in the nose, the esters don't do much, imparting a bit of sweetness but nowhere near the bubblegum, clove and banana that I would expect from a hefe weizen.

M: The wheat element tastes well enough, there is just this strange, shallow sweetness hanging around.

D: I had two pints, so I'm not sure what that means in regard to drinkability. The taste was good, it just lacked a bit of oomph to be a good hefe. Average, and that is not a bad thing.

Interesting.

Appearance: How can I say 3. This is certainly not average. In fact it looks like no Hefe I have ever had. It looks like a banana milkshake (it is thick like that too). It is not at all transparent the light if anything wraps around the glass not through it. Cloudy cloudy hazy banana yellow.

Smell: Banana cream, lemon and clove great the nose pleasantly.

Taste & Mouthfeel: As it enters the mouth I fist notice the viscosity of the beer. Thick chewy body. It is what it looked like but not what I am used to. That said, it was actually quite tasty. Lemon peals, banana and banana peels, sugar, fruits and citrus are all washed down by the cool soft malt and yeast flavors.

Drinkability: Simple but drinkable. Unique and worth the taste.

Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!

Served on tap at Bube's Brewery in Mount Joy.

Golden yellow color, very cloudy/hazy, even more so than most hefes. Light foamy head with some lace. Quite good looking hefe.

Not much in the nose which was quite disappointing.

The flavor is that of a hefe only muted. Nothing sweet or spicy stands out as you would expect, and the only description I can make is it seems watered down. Given how nice this brew looks the flavor is quite disappointing.

Served as an extremely cloudy pale yellow beer with very impressive white head. Attractive lacing throughout the glass. Smell is mainly clove, with some summer fruitiness and banana also present. Taste is also of clove with srtonger banana nints than the smell. The alcohol seemed very notciable initially but slowly disappeared. Finishes refresing. A pleasant easy drinking beer.

Its yellow-gold body has an orangeish cast and is so cloudy that it veils the majority of the fast rising bubbles within. Its big, frothy, bright-white head holds well but could do better; and it only leaves some small, spotty lace once it passes it's initial lacing. From there, it maintains a decent collar but barely a whisp across the surface. The nose is quite phenolic (plastic but not Band-Aid - but in a good way... it's not off-putting) over clove, fruit, and sweet malt but with little banana. The body is medium/light and the mouthfeel is soft with a tingle on the tongue. The flavor is loaded with berry-like fruit, sweet malts, a plastic-like phenolics, some banana, and a solid note of clove; all backed by a very low level of bitterness that lets the malt and yeast shine through. It finishes semi-dry with some lingering malt and a touch of lingering phenolic malt sweetness and clove - with just a light touch of spice on the tongue. Very nice.
