Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a sturdy dark burnt orange almost orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a slow pace. Slight lace. The aroma had some caramel/toffee malts up front and then a nice earthy/grassy hop blend with some orange pulp sweetness and dark fruits. Light woodiness and a little bit of leather and tobacco also make a small play underneath. The flavor dryly moved the malts into the hops somewhat sweet with a touch of bitterness at the end. Aftertaste was moderately sweet with a dry malty finish. The palate was medium bodied with a good sipping quality about it. Low key carbonation and the ABV felt good. Overall, pretty good old ale that I could have again.

Had this on tap at the brewery in Mt. Joy.
Served cool in a standard pint.
A - A light caramel brown w/ a thin tan head. The lace clings on for dear life.

S - A fruity, fragrant odor w/ a milky cream scent and a tinge of sweet strawberry-like scents. This major aroma is complemented by a nutty smell and the mix makes you go "hmmm?"

M - Full, roasty and lightly bitter w/ sweetness and med-low carbonation.

T - A rich caramel smooth taste combines w/ a slight bit of alcohol flavor. There is dry graininess and nutty, roasted tastes w/ a slightly bitter pine hop flavor. The finish is smooth and balanced.

D - A very tasty, unique Old ale w/ more sweet flavor than dry characteristics. An interesting take on the style w/ moderate alcohol in the taste and a smooth malty finish. I consider it very drinkable.
