I had the Wee Heavey at Bube's served in a large wine glass. It's a limited edition beer that they currently have on tap.
It was a nice, dark caramel color with little head. It smells strong, of alcohol, but also slightly sweet. Very little hop character, very malty.
It had a sweet taste, with a biting, hot alcohol effect at the back end. It was smooth, but was clearly a sipper. I haven't had a lot of Wee Heavy's, but this one was true to style at least. A little more character would probably turn the alcohol taste down a few notches.
Otherwise, an enjoyable beer from Bube's.
