Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a burnt amber color with a thin white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Light stringy lace. The aroma had some malty caramel/toffee sweetness running into some light herbal/earthy hop qualities and a little bit of sweet grain. The flavor leaned towards a malty dryness and pulling the earthy/herbal qualities in for a nice balance. Nice smooth aftertaste and finish. The palate was between light and medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt good. Overall, pretty nice Irish red ale that I could have again if I could get it.

A pint on-tap. Erin go bragh indeed.
A: The ale is a reddish copper color, still translucent. A thin web of lace hangs around the glass, leaving a few patches of lace.
S: The nose is malty, chewy with toffee and caramel flavors. Hops are an afterthought.
T: The maltiness carries into the body, a full grainy presence. The breadiness is sweet with fruit flavors, darker, running around. Hops don't bother, a good idea because they'd get lost. Chewy enough to appreciate with a hearty corned beef sandwich.
M: Mouthfeel is malty, a caramel and toffee mixture. A nice take on the Irish heritage.
O: Overall, a good Irish red ale, malty in all the ways that it should be.
