Copenhagen 29/6 2018. 33 cl can from Fakta. Tattooed sailor - Whom I assume is Lucky Jack - showing his biceps on the can. Big beard and big muscles.

Pours very hazy, deep amber with a small white head. Settles as a thin slightly patchy layer of foam. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is strong and fruity. Subdued exotic fruit. Mango, peach and melon. Dominated by strong citric notes. Citrus and grapefruit. On the verge of being acerbic. Light odor of fermentation and decay.

Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, soft texture.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and quite fresh. Finish is dry.

Prominently bitter, yet easily drinkable IPA. Not bad. Fine fellow that Lucky Jack.

August 2017: 330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 6%. Slightly hazy deep golden to orange colour, small white head. Aroma of citrussy and piney American hops. Refreshing grapefruity and piney flavour, slightly dry, distinctly bitter finish.

330 ml can, new design.

Pours orange/sunset colour with slight haziness, 1” of white head which disappears rather quickly (less than 2 minutes).

Smells are mostly floral, aromatic, then citrusy, no signs of malts.

Taste follows the nose, however it’s more hopped than you’d think from the smell. Body is on the light side of medium, despite being 6% ABV. The carbonation is slightly on the lower side, the bubbles feel like in champagne, small sized. Refreshing, citrusy (lemon, lime), it hides its alcohol content quite well. Lasting dry-ish finish, and a fair amount of bitterness.

Summary: a gorgeous looking, decent, hop-centric IPA, it’s exactly what I was looking for. If they’d learn how to make lasting head, it’d be even better.

Recommended.

On tap in Singapore - Pours a murky copper amber color with thick off white head leaving lots of bubbly lacing. Nose is tropical fruit and sweet malt. Taste follows with some grassy bitterness. Fairly smooth ,mildly carbonated and dry on the finish. Decent IPA.

330ml can poured into a pint glass.

Hazy golden orange color, it tops with thick creamy off-white head that stands with good retention before slowly subsiding to a lasting foamy patch atop and leaving lots of lacing patch and spot.

In a nose, tropical, tons of grapefruit, pineapple, orange juice, passion fruit, pine, and grass from hop while bread and slight caramel from malt.

Straightforward fruity IPA taste with the domination of bold grapefruit, then pineapple, orange juice, passion fruit, pine, as well as some grassy bitterness. Malt plays in the supporting role with its bread and some sweetness.

Medium body with quite smooth mouthfeel and moderate carbonation, the feeling is quite refreshing with a very dry finish.

Almost good but not yet fully good, anyway, it is surely worth to check if you like fruit and juice forwards IPA.
