March 2018: 330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 12.9%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Minimal tan head. Aroma of bourbon, roast malts, oak and vanilla. Medium sweet flavour, distinct notes of bourbon, oak and vanilla, also medium roast malts and caramel. Moderate hops. Good stuff. but I'd say the bottle is for sharing.

Dark-brown, little foam lacing on the glass.
Whiskey, cognac, oak smell.
The taste is an explosion: coffee liquor, vanilla, cocoa, marzipan, hazelnuts, pistachio, burnt sugar, mellase, wild honey. All surrounded in a pleasant sweetness that heats your mouth aling the 12.9% alcohol.
Aftertaste similar to a good cognac or bourbon, with vanilla oak lingering long time.
A perfect barley wine in every way!

De 32gp. Versión de 2017. En copa Mahou Barrica. Jugando a Truberbrook.

Medium brown color with short lived mocha head. Aroma has intense caramel, dried fruits like raisins and dates, toffee and bourbon. Taste starts sweet with dried fig notes, burnt sugar, lots of bourbon, dark fruits, toffee and a bittersweet woody finish. Syrupy body, drinks quite smoothly. A great bourbon and toffee bomb of a barleywine.

Pours a dark brown body without any head.
The smell is powerful with a big bourbon presence as well as toffee, dark fruits and earthy hoppiness.
The taste follows
Thick mouthfeel.
A classy brew
