Copenhagen 8/11 2021. 33 cl can from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Quite obscure drawing on the can. Looks like a bright red berry in some kind of gloomy trouble.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong slightly candy-like, sweet odor mingling with a roasted, dark scent. Dark roasted malts. Chocolate in abundance. Vanilla and brown sugar. Hints of licorice.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, slightly viscous, soft yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense and almost candy-like sweet followed by a modest bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a potent, boozy undertone. Lingering. Finish is pure dessert liqueur.
Pretty straight forward, potent and sweet. But it does carry a punch.

Served in a goblet from the can.
Appearance: Dark black body with a tan head which initially rose just under half a finger's length off the body.
Smell: Weak vanilla bean aroma. Smells good but leaks potency to the nose.
Taste: light smokey complex taste which comes off slight lightly sweet. Molasses, vanilla and doses of milk chocolate which hovers your mouth. .
Mouth: you always sticky body with a soft carbonation with a very light dry smoke finish in the aftertaste. Very decadent if I must say.
Overall: Great Bear honestly I've had it before and I have totally forgotten to do my critique. If you like imperial stouts just a little bit it is 100% worth grabbing. Salud.

black, small lacing. higher viscosity.
Chocolate, chocolate and chocolate.
Vanilla, roasted malts, also agree with others that there's also some booze here, rum or similar.
Very sweet, definitely a pastry stout (not sure why BA does not have this style?). Smell is so good, taste still good, though gets overwhelming fast with its sweetness.
Looking forward to the barrel aged versions from this one that I've yet to open.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Herbarium, Stavanger. ABV is 13.5%. Black colour, small tan head. Aroma of chocolate / cocoa and vanilla, hints of alcohol and old berry squash. Very sweet (too sweet) and sugary flavour, loads of cocoa / chocolate and vanilla. Unbalanced, won't buy again.

Lervig is tempting you with forbidden fruit on this one. Pours pitch black with a razor thin tan head on a soft pour. Little to no lacing, but there is considerable retention on the side of the glass during the swirl. Good smell of milk chocolate on the nose, which is definitely reciprocated in the taste. Tasting dominant milk chocolate with very little sweetness. Also tasting vanilla and coffee blended into the chocolate. Medium mouthcoater, even though not extremely thick, and the high abv makes the chocolate feel warm in the mouth. Overall very pleasant. Great warming chocolate smell and taste.
