September 2019: 330 ml can, as Lervig Barrel Aged 3 Bean Stout (Rum Barrels). Way is not mentioned on the label. ABV is 13.4%. Available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pitch black colour, large brown head. Intense aroma of tonka beans (which do not belong in any beer), vanilla and cocoa, also spiced rum. Extremely (sickly) sweet and alcoholic flavour with the same elements, tonka beans and spices dominate, some bittering hops. Cloying, unbalanced. Nearly undrinkable for me.

Deep brown almost dark, tight tan head that disappears fast. Smell is full of chocolate, vanilla and Tonka, with a hint of cinnamon and rum. Very nice, taste is very much the same. Feel is nice and rich. Good stout

Served in a snifter glass from the can.
Appearance: or is a very thick black body which resembles espresso with a tan head, slightly dark compared to the other stouts. The head are initially Rose just about a nudge below half a fingers length off the body.
Smell: what can I say as a strong hand of tiger being right from the beginning with light hints of rum and vanilla. A super decadent aroma which sticks to the nose like gum under your shoe.
Taste: very strong and semi sweet with hands of strong I do mean strong talk of being and hands of vanilla and coconut. It's a dessert and a glass infused with a lightly bitter rum, you 100% will not see me complaining.
Mouth: medium soft carbonation with a ridiculously sticky body, has an aftertaste that it can overcome literally almost anything.
Overall: honestly one of my favorite imperial styles I am surprised I have not reviewed it. Super unique and honestly if you don't share it don't feel bad, it's that good. Salud!

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours motor oil black with almost no head. The nose is incredible. Tonka dominates for me, and I love it. Black licorice, vanilla, chocolate, rum, raisins, dates. The taste is wonderful. Some nice roasted malts, tons of black licorice, tonka, coconut, vanilla, chocolate, toffee, molasses, raisins, and dates. Wow. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy and everything is so balanced. Semi-sweet cocoa aftertaste. Love this so much.

Pours black with a thin tan frothy head. Really nice warming smell of tonka beans, vanilla, and rum that comes across as a very sweet coconut and vanilla. Even though you get the same flavors in the taste, they are much more explosive and the cocoa begins to express itself more. Also, the warmth from the tonka beans and rum barrels really make this very soothing and wonderful to drink on a cold winter day. Overall this is definitely top notch.
