Copenhagen 24/12 2024. 37,5 cl waxed bottle from Meny, Nordens Plads, Frb. F. Burgundy and dark red fading to black with the name of the beer in gold.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Bubbly. Disappears after a few seconds leaving a lonely patch behind. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet and slightly sugary odor mingling with a distinct scent of dark alcohol. Dark malts, roast, dark chocolate, brown sugar and potent alcohol. Sweet American whiskey.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, viscous, fat, creamy, flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy undertone. Lingering. Finish is alcohol and chocolate.
Just the beer for contemplation on Christmas Day.

Stout aged in Tennessee whiskey barrels for 10 months.
Black. Evanescent white foam.
Very smooth smell, whiskey, sweetness, caramel, not too much alcohol.
Again smooth taste, mou and caramel, whiskey notes, but overall, well balanced.
Well, for sure, on the sweetish side.
Dessert pairing, perfect with a tiramisù.
The right body, vanilla in the aftertaste, mou, hot spicy. Smooth, long. Almonds.

A black waxed 375ml bottle, with a best before date of 9th August 2026. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Dark dark brown to black in colour, with a thin brown head that dissipated quickly, while leaving some spotty lacing.
Aroma: Light roast, chocolate, cherry juice, vanilla, coconut, with bourbon notes.
Taste: Moderately sweet, light roast, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, oak, bourbon, tart cherry juice, with a splash of chili spice on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: An enjoyable dessert like sipper, as the chili spice, tart cherry, and bourbon notes, balance out a lot of the sweetness.
