Copenhagen 4/9 2025. 37,5 cl waxed and capped bottle from Special Selection, Rødovre Centrum, Rødovre. Very dark blue label with orange text with the name of the beer and white text with the logo and name of the brewery.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Bubbly Disappears completely after 10 seconds. Leaving a sombre, dark, fluid behind. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, sugary and malty odor mingling with a scent of boozy barrels. Sweet dark malts. Dark chocolate. Toasted. A bit of cinnamon and vanilla. Sweet bourbon and syrup. Potent and sugary.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, fat, viscous, flat, texture.
Flavor is intense with a heavy sweetness followed by a medium strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit tart with a notable sweet undertone. Lingering. Finish is dry in a boozy manner.
Dark as night - but an immensely sweet and boozy one .

A beer in Lervig's Rackhouse series, a collab with Estonian Põhjala brewery. 375 ml bottle, waxed top (black metallic wax), Cardinal Pub, Stavanger. ABV is 13.3%. Pitch black colour, moderate to small tan head. Aroma of molasses, dark malts, oak, maple syrup, vanilla, dark rum and bourbon. Rich and warming mouthfeel, low carbonation. Very sweet and rich flavour with the same elements as the aroma, Dessert in a bottle!
