Copenhagen 31/1 2026. 37,5 cl heavy glass bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Dark label with a simple drawing of a landscape. The name of the beer in gold letters.

Pours pâque dark brown with a small light beige head. Settles as a thin rim of foam running along the sides of the glass. No lacing.

Aroma is intense and potent with sweet malty fumes mingling with dark alcohol in abundance. Brown sugar, caramel and cured leather. Prominent scent of Bourbon. Hints of vanilla and raisins.

Light carbonation. Thick, oily, viscous, soft, fat, a bit creamy, almost flat texture.

Soaked in Bourbon and alcohol - as an Original Sin should be.

Flavor is intense with potent and strong sweetness accompanied by a boozy sear. Followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and boozy. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry and drenched in Bourbon.

Served in a oversized wine glass from the bottle.

Appearance: Thick black body with a tan head which an initial rose with about 8mm off the body coming off a tan color with medium bubbles.

Smell: Toffee and molasses. Sweet candied espresso.

Taste: Rich deep brown sugar which overpowers any barrel aging. I'm not complaining, only tweaking the beer could use is none. Comes off strong but not boozy with a caramel and molasses infused espresso. Rich whiskey but not overpowering.

Mouth: Rich body with a soft carbonation.

Overall: all I have to say is that this beer is f'k-n awesome. I just want to drink the whole thing in one shot but obviously that would be a grave mistake. Take your time and fall in lust with what's good for you. Always in a glass!

Poured at fridge temp. Pours motor oil black with a thin layer of light brown head. The nose is really interesting and not similar to other bourbon barrel-aged stouts. Vanilla, chocolate, marshmallow, wood, cherries, blackberries, and toffee.

The taste is fantastic. Vanilla, burnt toffee, toasted coconut, milk chocolate, roasted malts, molasses, maple, raisins, blackberries, and slight hops.

Mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Aftertaste is bitter roasted malts and sweet toffee.

375 ml waxed bottle, Cardinal Pub, Stavanger. ABV is 12.5%. Black colour, small tan head. Boozy aroma of fusel alcohols, molasses, bourbon, oak and vanilla, also notes of roast malts and chocolate. Rich and warming mouthfeel. Very sweet flavour, notes of roast malts, treacle, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon and oak. I recommend sharing the bottle.
