Copenhagen 10/8 2024. 37,5 cl sealed bottle from Meny, Nordens Plads, Frb. F. Light brown label with a darker coffee ring. Name of the beer and brewery in gold letters.

Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. A bit bubbly. Disappears fairly fast. Leaving a thin rim of foam behind. No lacing - but a bit of smudge on the glass.

Aroma is intense with a strong sweet and sugary odor brimming with coconut mingling with a bitter scent of coffee. Light roast. All saturated in dark alcohol. Rum and raisins.

Low carbonation. Rather thick, oily, soft, a little sticky, almost flat texture.

Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more moderate sourish bitterneness. Aftertaste is sweet with a distict boozy touch. Finish is thick and rather dry.

Fine boozer from the Rackhouse. But you need to be fond of Coconut.

A copper waxed 375ml bottle, with a best before date of 9th May 2027. Poured into a snifter glass.

Appearance: Black in colour with coconut like floaties and a thin tanned head that dissipated quickly while leaving sparse lacing.

Aroma: Sweet, coconut, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and notes of wafer.

Taste: Sweet, chocolate, coffee, toasted coconut, vanilla, oak, caramel, bourbon, rum.

Mouthfeel: Creamy, smooth, full bodied, with soft carbonation.

Overall: The aroma and flavours were nice and made for an enjoyable sipper, although perhaps on the verge of being too sweet for my palate.
