LERVIG Bayer is our take on a quintessentially Norwegian style of beer. This lager uses Munich, caramel and even a bit of chocolate malts so has the body and flavour to hold up to the richest of meals. It pours dark with a beautiful creamy head, but despite its appearance it's light with finely hopped, so it's equally perfect to drink on its own.

Had one of these at Lorry (restaurant) in Oslo. It went together well with a dinner in winter-time. A dark lager with a deeper toasty look and taste plus some bitter hoppy notes.

330 ml can, from Helgø MENY, Hundvåg. ABV is 4.7%. Mahogany colour, moderate to small beige head. Aroma of brown bread, faint hints of caramel and chocolate. The flavour is not too sweet, but has the same elements as the aroma, also hints of burnt breadcrumbs. Moderate hops.
