Copenhagen 4/8 2024. 33 cl can from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Black can with a drawing of a crude king wearing sunglasses.
Pours clear maroon with a small off-white head. Settles a thin rim om foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet sugary odor of dark fruits, malts and alcohol. Toffee, caramel and a healthy dose of brown sugar. Raisins and plums. Almonds. Sweet liqueur.
Low carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong and heavy sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and quite boozy. A bit searing. Lingering. Finish is warming.

330 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 15.6%. Deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white to beige head. Aroma of malts and dark dried fruits, some vinous hints. Flavour with the same elements, also distinct bittering hops. The alcohol is not as dominant as I feared.
